In this class, students will learn to use acrylic paints well, even mixing their own colors.

They'll draw subject inspiration from a short poem about the sea or sky and take a look at how famous artists have painted the sea and sky in the past. They'll paint waves, clouds, starry night skies, sea shells, boats, crabs and all kinds of fun things!

Students will receive a list of supplies that include 4 tubes of heavy body acrylic paint, paint brushes and just a few other supplies. Grace Martin and Courtney Sanford developed this class together, gathering inspiration from the Beach Art Retreats they love!

This class will meet for an hour and 15 minutes once a week for 14 weeks each semester. Students may need more time during the week to finish their painting.
