Online class for ages 13+   Tuesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 starting Sept 1. 31 classes

In this class, students will learn about an artist or art period and then create their own composition in imitation. We begin with cave paintings and go through the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and all the way to modern abstractionists meeting Botticelli, Michelangelo, William Morris, Renoir, Pissarro, VanGogh, O'Keefe, Pollock, Warhol, and more! Each week I'll introduce an artist and an art technique. Students will create 24 compositions in a variety of mediums in a hard cover art journal, making a stunning portfolio of art history and displaying their skills.

This class can be a Western Cultural History credit with additional readings done at home from my book, Marvelous to Behold and some additional research. If your student has already taken Western Cultural History, they do not need to do the readings, and can count the class as a Fine Arts credit.

Registration Fee Tuesday 1:00 EST

    About Me

I am a writer and graphic designer who decided to homeschool my three amazing kids. I read everything ever written on classical Christian homeschooling (well, everything I could get my hands on). Some would say that makes me an expert. I don't know if I'm an expert, but after 12 years, I've seen a lot! I love art, literature, travel, and teaching. I love being creative and cultivating creativity in others.
